Hey everyone. I'm an event planner who is currently waiting tables as a result of the economy; my finance is a career bartender. We're considering moving to the ATL and working in the service industry there since the industry as a whole has dramatically slowed down where we are (Seattle). We have family there, but they are quite out of the loop about things bar and restaurant related in the city, as they live in the 'burbs.
Can anyone provide us with some info? Do the restaurants/bars still seem pretty steady? Easy/hard to get a job? We typically work in places that are pretty high-end, with the focus being on the cocktail.
